Change of Subject or Module

Changing a subject:

Leaving Certificate Students only:

Changes to First Year subjects will be allowed, provided subject prerequisites are met, up to four weeks after the start of Semester 1, i.e. until Friday, 13^th October, 2023. The online facility (through your student portal) for making changes to subjects will only be open for the first two weeks of Semester 1, i.e. until Friday, 29^th September, 2023.

Subsequent changes up until Friday, 13th October 2023 must be processed through the Student Records and Examinations Office, West Wing, UCC. You can email the Exams and Records office directly at sreo@ucc.ie or call to them directly.

QQI FETAC and Mature students and students not presenting with a Leaving Certificate:

Changes for FETAC and Mature students and any other student not presenting with a Leaving Certificate must be processed through the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences website. Change of Subject Forms are available here

Changing a module:

First Year students only:

Students wishing to register a change of module must do so via the Student Portal no later than two weeks after the start of each Semester, i.e. Friday, 29^th September, 2023 (Semester 1) or Friday, 26^th January 2024 (Semester 2). Semester 1 modules cannot be changed in Semester 2. No changes in registration will be allowed after these deadlines.

Second and subsequent years:

Students wishing to register a change of module must do so via the Student Portal no later than two weeks after the start of each Semester, i.e. by Friday, 22nd September 2023 (Semester 1) or Friday, 26th January 2024 (Semester 2).
