UCC Department of Pathology
The University College Cork Department of Pathology is based in Cork University Hospital, Wilton, Cork.
Medical and dental undergraduate students study pathology in their second and third years, as part of their overall primary degree in medicine or dentistry. Pathology is taught through a combination of lectures, practicals and focused discussion of clinico-pathological case studies.

The Department of Pathology also has a dedicated research laboratory which is situated in the Clinical Sciences Building, Cork University Hospital. Research conducted here is in the area of human molecular genetics and neurogenetics.
