Programme Content/ Assessment

There are several continuously assessed tasks throughout the programme- an assessed written task and a spoken presentation at the end of the programme.

There is also a final test of academic language skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Results of all 3 methods of testing are combined to give an overall score.

To successfully complete this programme students, need to achieve the following:

  • 90% attendance
  • 60% on all three testing methods i.e. continuous assessment tasks, summative tasks, and end of programme test.
There will be no need to re-take an IELTS exam on successful completion of either this pre-sessional programme. Both programmes are on the approved list of entry routes for UCC undergraduate, postgraduate, and joint programmes.
