Dr Rosari Kingston
Biography
Rosarie Kingston PhD practises as a medical herbalist in an integrative medical practice in West Cork, Ireland, and also lectures on the topic, “Herbs and Healing in Irish Folklore,” in the Department of Folklore & Ethnology, at University College, Cork.

Shane Lehane
Shane Lehane is a part-time lecturer in the Department of Folklore and Ethnology, UCC where his chief interest is in custom, tradition, and belief. He has additional research interests in material culture, folklife, vernacular traditions and food and as a PhD candidate his thesis deals with the nature of material culture and time. He worked for many years as a demonstrator in the Department of Celtic Civilisation, UCC.
In folklore, he has been the main motivator and contact for overseas students through the years, overseeing the Early Start Programme and the FL2111 Aspects of Irish Folklore.
Shane is Course Director of Cultural and Heritage Studies in CSN, College of Further Education, Cork. He has lectured in archaeology, folklore, history, and the arts for over 30 years and has developed a programme of studies that facilitates both young and mature students to progress to Arts and Humanities programmes at 3rd level.
Shane has appeared on many television and radio programmes exploring many different aspects of Irish folk tradition. He is a regular and very popular contributor on the Today Show (RTÉ) expounding many different aspects of Irish folk custom. Shane is also a beekeeper and advocate of Irish vernacular craft.
