Wonderful to see the Staff Common Room jam-packed with UCC colleagues and friends who came yesterday to honour and wish Dr Patrick Crowley all the best as he leaves the Department of French to take up a new position as Professor and Head of School of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of Galway. A brilliant scholar, a fantastic teacher, a great colleague, a dear friend. A legend.
