Study Facilities for Postgraduate Students

The Graduate School in the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences has facilities reserved for use by CACSSS postgraudate students only.

The Berkeley Centre is availalble to all CACSSS Masters, MRes, MPhil and PhD students. It's a quiet room on Q+3 with hot desks available on a first-come-first-served basis. Access is granted for 12 months, after which students must re-apply if they wish to continue using it. Please complete the Berkeley Centre Application Form and email it with the subject heading 'Access to Berkeley Centre' to Graduateschool.cacsss@ucc.ie

 

Wandesford Quay Research Facility is available to all CACSSS doctoral students (MPhil and PhD).  It is located on Wandesford Quay (a 10 minute walk from campus). It is a shared facility with 25 hot-desks reserved for doctoral students available on a first-come-first-served basis.   There are also a limited number of small lockers available. Access to Wandesford Quay is via student card from 8am - 10pm seven days a week (pre-registration is required).

There is no reserved parking but it is adjacent to St. Finbarr’s multi-storey car park, (https://www.q-park.ie/en-gb/cities/cork/st-finbarr's/). There is some bike storage in the facility and a bike-share station is located across the road.
