Study Facilities for Postgrads
The Graduate School of the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences has a dedicated facility treserved only for Masters, MRes, MPhil, PhD Track and Phd Students as follows:
The Berkeley Centre is for all Masters, MRes, MPhil, PhD and PhD Track students. It's a quiet room on Q+3 with hot desks available on a first-come-first-served basis. Wandesford Quay Research Facility comprises 3,300 square feet located on Wandesford Quay just a few minutes’ walk from the main campus and within easy reach of the city centre. Wandesford Quay contains premium work space for research staff, post-doctoral researchers and PhD students with modern, air conditioned and comfortable open plan offices, break out spaces and a meeting room, with IT infrastructure including high speed Wi-Fi and a high speed integrated copier/scanning facility.
Key features of this premises include work stations for 25 postgraduate researchers, a meeting room, small kitchen, WC facilities, secure locker spaces (40 lockers in total). Access to Wandesford Quay is via student card from 8am - 10pm seven days a week (pre-registration is required – see below for details).
The Wandesford Quay Research Facility is adjacent to St. Finbarr’s car park which currently operates under Q-Park, (https://www.q-park.ie/en-gb/cities/cork/st-finbarr's/), students may also avail of local interior bike storage within this research facility. In addition, there are two Coca-Cola bike share stations located across the road and the city centre is a five-minute walk away
