CACSSS Excellence Scholarship (PhD)

Scholarships 1The Graduate School in the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences at University College Cork is offering up to 10 scholarships to doctoral students for the academic year 2024/2025.  The scholarship will take the form of payment of the EU PhD fee by the Graduate School for one year initially. Subject to satisfactory progress and certain conditions being met, the scholarship may be extended for a maximum of 3 years. 

Who can Apply?  

  • Applicants who have applied for a doctoral or MPhil programme in Arts in any academic unit in the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences (CACSSS) at University College Cork on UCCApply to commence in the academic year 2024/2025. 
  • Registered doctoral research or MPhil students who are currently registered in their first or second year of an MPhil or PhD in Arts in any academic unit in CACSSS.

Important Notes: 

  • For all applicants one letter of support from a supervisor/proposed supervisor speaking to the quality of the proposal/project must submitted by your supervisor/proposed supervisor. You are responsible for providing your supervisor with the link to the letter of support form. 
  • Please read the PhD Scholarship Terms and Conditions 2024 for infomration on how the applications are assessed and the responsibilites of recipients.
  • Closing date for submission of application form and supervisor's letter of support is Wednesday, 1 May 2023 at 5.00pm
