There are two postgraduate research degrees in Italian at UCC:
MPhil: two-year degree, examined by thesis.
PhD: three-year, examined by thesis.
Staff in Italian at UCC supervise graduate students in areas related to their own research expertise. Two new modules have been introduced and doctoral students will be able to avail of them in years when they are offered: IT7001 Research Presentation Skills; and IT7002 Research Writing Workshop. Doctoral students can also take generic training courses through the CACSSS Graduate School.
MPhil/PhD: Applicant should normally have obtained at least Second-Class Honours Grade I (or equivalent) in Italian.
