Dr Chrissie Shortt and Dr Deirdre Edge have joined the Department on Postdoctoral Fellowships with Dr Farouk Markos.
Dr Mohamed Abdulla is a postdoctoral fellow in the department on a grant from Wellcome Trust supervised by Professor Edward Johns.
Ms Fiona O'Connor was awarded an MSc for research conducted under the supervision of Dr Ahmad Ahmeda.

UCC has secured significant funding from Science Foundation Ireland under the recent Infrastructure Call. Professor Ken O'Halloran led the successful bid to develop a National Transgenic and Germ Free Facility that will underpin translational biomedical research on campus.
