On Saturday the 10th of December there was a small gathering at Enterprise House to mark the launch of the 4th edition of Irish Wild Mammals A Guide to the Literature by Pat Smiddy and Paddy Sleeman. 

Congratulations to Kevin Murphy, this year's worthy recipient of the Cunningham Award for his undergraduate mapping project carried out on the island of Kerrera. 

UCC’s Dr Maria McNamara is one of 12 female academic leaders whose portraits will be the first to hang on the walls of the Royal Irish Academy in Dublin.

Dr Maria McNamara of the School of BEES was among a number of UCC lecturers whose contribution to the Learning Neighbourhoods programme was recognised in a ceremony at Cork City Hall last week. 

UCC palaeontologist Dr Maria McNamara has just been listed as one of ‘20 incredible women leading the way to scientific advancement’ 

Debbie Chapman and Stuart Warner of the GEMS/Water Capacity Development Centre, with the rest of the GEMS/Water international team hosted a workshop at United Nations Offices Nairobi (UNON). 

Kevin Murphy (BSc Hons Geology 2016) has been awarded this year’s Cunningham Prize by the Geological Survey of Ireland.

The BEES Prizegiving 2016 took place recently at the School of Biological Earth and Environmental Sciences.
