International
The Department of English welcomes a large number of international students to its courses every year, and has a designated member of staff, Dr Adam Hanna (adam.hanna@ucc.ie) who acts as a point of contact for international students, and to whom you can bring questions and concerns. Dr Hanna also coordinates outgoing Erasmus and other Study Abroad students who are taking the BA in English (further information available here).
Visiting students to UCC can take their whole degree programme here, or can come as Erasmus (EU) or Visiting Students (non-EU) for periods of one or two Teaching Periods (September-December or January-March). While at UCC, Erasmus and Visiting Students can choose from the full range of our Second- and Third-Year courses; we also offer some courses on Irish literature designed especially with international students in mind.
The Department of English also runs a very popular Early Start Programme, and, together with the School of History co-ordinates and runs the UCC International Summer School
If you are an international student and have a query about the programmes we offer, please contact Adam Hanna.
