The Department of Asian Studies offers two MA Programmes
MA in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MATCSOL)
The MATCSOL combines theory with hands-on practice.
In class, you’ll find yourself discussing theories and concepts used in language teaching and how they are relevant to Chinese.
You’ll also observe successful teachers in action. Through your teaching internship module, arranged by the Department of Asian Studies, you'll experience different teaching settings and prepare and deliver classes, while reflecting on your own teaching style and effectiveness.
