Ciara Millerick is this year’s recipient of the Science, Engineering and Food Science Quercus University Scholarship, awarded for academic excellence in her examination results.

The 10^th George Guilbault Symposium was hosted in the Aula Maxima in University College Cork on Tuesday 25 October. This event brought together industry, academia and analytical chemistry postgraduate students.

Today, 81 students graduated with BSc (Hons) degrees in Chemistry, Chemistry of Pharmaceutical Compounds, Chemistry with Forensic Science, Science (Chemistry) Education and Chemical Physics.

The Irish Research Council has today announced €27m in funding for new research projects under the Irish Research Council’s flagship Government of Ireland programmes. The investment will fund 316 awards in total, namely 239 postgraduate scholarships and 77 postdoctoral fellowships.

Now in its 20^th year, the Eli Lilly Postgraduate Research Symposium in Organic & Pharmaceutical Chemistry took place on Thursday 8^th September in the Pharmacy building, UCC.
