IT and Computer Laboratories
IT and Computer Laboratories
Computer Labs for IT Courses and Engineering
The Civil & Environmental Engineering building has two state-of-the art computer labs to support students in IT courses such as Computer-Aided Design, IT skills development and programming in Cork. 70 workstations are available in these rooms with a full suite of IT Engineering and scientific software installed, including:
- Ansys (computational fluid mechanics package)
- AutoCAD
- Bentley Software Suite
- Calcrete
- DHI MikeZero (hydraulic modelling software)
- HEC-RAS (hydraulic modelling software)
- Matlab
- Microsoft Visual Studio
Information Systems include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint) which also available on all workstations.
