Film and Screen Media Facilities
The Film and Screen Media facilities, located in the Kane Building B10.B, on central campus, is a hub for teaching, research and conferencing. The facilities include a large auditorium consisting of a Projection System combined with a state-of-the-art 9.1 Cinema Surround Sound system, ideal for hosting seminars, masterclasses and lectures as well as the obvious screening of movies.
Two editing labs, fully equipped with a full range of filmmaking applications including Final Cut Pro X; Adobe CS6 Production Premium; Da Vinci Resolve; Fade-in and Logic Pro X, are available to students at each level of the BA and MA. Furthermore, Film and Screen Media is recognised as an Apple Authorised Training Centre for Education.
Complementing the labs and auditorium is of course the film equipment itself. Students enrolled on our courses can access a range of Canon film cameras and DSLRs as well as professional sound recording and capturing devices that are guaranteed to facilitate all aspects of a shoot.
