International Admissions Information

HOW TO APPLY

All international student applications must be made online via www.ucc.ie/apply.

Please note that the programme is FULL-TIME only.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Undergraduate Bachelor degree requirements

Applicants must hold an engineering degree that is the NARIC equivalent of an honours Bachelor degree from a recognised institution, and this will be checked for you by the International Education Office in UCC when you have submitted your application on-line via www.ucc.ie/apply. Your engineering degree should be in mechanical engineering or must have covered fundamentals of mechanical engineering such as, for example, materials, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics, so all applicants are required to submit full transcripts of their undergraduate degree subjects which will be reviewed to assess your eligibility for the programme.

The minimum standard required depends on the equivalency of the degree and the grading scheme used in each university or country, but as a general guide, a second class honours or GPA of 3.0/4.0 or 3.75/5.0 is required.

English language requirements

Applicants are required to submit evidence of their English language proficiency; the minimum requirement is an IELTS score of 6.5 with no individual section with a score lower than 6.0, or TOEFL equivalent.

FEES

The fees for international students for the 2021/2022 academic year are €22,130. To convert this to other currencies, please click here.

Please note that there are merit-based fee reductions of up to 20% that may be applied automatically depending on your undergraduate Bachelor degree result.
