In line with the University’s commitment to embed the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion across all the institution’s functions, the School of Society, Politics and Ethics, through its EDI Committee, endeavours

To promote UCC’s equality agenda in the School to ensure equality is a key consideration in all plans developed by the School.
To promote equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) best practices in all School activities
To review School practices and policies from an equality perspective and where necessary, making recommendations on any issues arising in order to promote good practice in these areas.
To develop the School’s Athena Swan application(s)
To foster collaboration within the School amongst colleagues who pursue research and/or teaching on equality and diversity.
To alert School members about equality and diversity events and initiatives within the university
To organise events and activities in/on behalf of the School that promote awareness of equality and diversity issues
