Researchers, policymakers, industry representatives and community stakeholders gathered at University College Cork (UCC) on 30 June for a workshop examining the role of nature-based solutions in restoring coastal ecosystems and building climate resilience.

The use of artificial intelligence in the school classroom and international comparative studies and trends in science education were among the topics discussed at the 8th ICASE (International Council of Associations for Science and Technology Education) World Conference on Science and Technology Education which took place at University College Cork from 22-25 June.  

Taoiseach Micheál Martin TD hosted a special commemorative event in Government Buildings to mark the centenary of the University Education (Agriculture and Dairy Science) Act 1926, legislation that established the Faculty of Agriculture at University College Dublin and the Faculty of Dairy Science at University College Cork.
