Teacher Guides

Teacher guides will be developed to support the integration of the GREEN-TRIALS training on sustainability and greener clinical trials into university curricula across Europe and beyond. Available in the same languages as the online course – English, Czech, French, Portuguese, and German – they will provide educators with the necessary tools and background information to effectively deliver content focused on environmentally responsible clinical research.
Designed in a standardised format to promote high-quality teaching, each unit will have a dedicated guide.

  • The guides will include recommended pre-class readings as well as suggestions for problem-based and team-based learning activities centred on sustainable trial design and implementation.
  • Each guide will feature dedicated sections:
    • How to Start” offering tools to initiate discussions on environmental impact and sustainability challenges (e.g., icebreakers and brainstorming exercises)
    • How to Conduct the Course”, including discussion topics and critical thinking tasks related to greener trial methodologies;
    • How to Close” summarising key take-home messages and learning outcomes related to sustainable clinical research practices.
    • Practical information on the course timing and scheduling will be included too.

In addition, a dedicated Educator training course will be organised (see the GREEN-TRIALS Training page). Its aim is to prepare experts who will be able to support the implementation of the curriculum both in terms of subject-matter expertise and formal teaching methodology. This training will help build a network of qualified professionals capable of guiding institutions in adopting and delivering the sustainability-focused curriculum effectively.

The teacher guides are currently in development and will be made available as soon as possible. Please follow us on LinkedIn for the latest updates.
