Ireland maintains its overall ranking of 22nd in the Global Competitiveness Index (GCI).  The GCI encompasses drivers of productivity across twelve ‘competitiveness pillars’ the most problematic of which for Ireland remains Basic Requirements driven by a declining infrastructure ranking at 53 (from 49 last year).
