Open Day at UCC- October 11th 2008

UCC's Open Day for Schools will take place on Saturday next, October 11th 2008 from 10am to 3.30pm.
Presentations on all degree programmes will be held in various venues around the university campus throughout the day.  Additional talks include a presentation specifically for Transition Year students with a focus on course content and subject choice, a presentation for interested Mature Students, a talk on student life by the Students' Union plus a debate by the Philosoph.  
 
Visiting students will be given the opportunity to discuss each programme, career options and entry procedures with current students and staff at Information Stands in the Main Rest, the Student Centre, the Aula Maxima and Brookfield Health Science Complex.

UCC representatives from Admissions, the Disability Support Services, Careers Service, Accommodation, the Library and the Students' Union will be present in the Aula Maxima, North Wing while the International Education Office and Mature Student Office will be located in the Student Centre. Music, entertainment and food stalls will be set up around campus and various societies will be on hand to talk to interested students about their activities.
 
The Open Day provides interested students with the opportunity to learn about the academic, sporting and social sides to life at UCC. Senior cycle students, parents and teachers are all welcome.
