UCC hosts Seminar "Tax Planning for Intellectual Property"

UCC's Office of Technology Transfer will host a seminar "Tax Planning for Intellectual Property" on Thursday, June 5th 2008 in UCC. Pat Carleton, McAvoy & Associates and Joe McAvoy, McAvoy & Associates will address the delegates at 5.10pm and 5.40pm respectively.

UCC's Office of Technology Transfer will host a seminar "Tax Planning for Intellectual Property" on Thursday, June 5th 2008 in UCC. Pat Carleton, McAvoy & Associates and Joe McAvoy, McAvoy & Associates will address the delegates at 5.10pm and 5.40pm respectively.
The seminar commences at 4.30pm with registration and refreshments in the Cavanagh Pharmacy Building, Room LG51, UCC followed by a welcome address by Mr Brendan Cremen, Director of Technology Transfer, UCC at 5pm.
Speakers:
Patrick Carleton is a chartered accountant and member of the Irish Taxation Institute. He is a specialist tax consultant and takes a particular interest in the taxation of technology transfers.
Joe McAvoy is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a founding principal of McAvoy & Associates. He has practised as a partner in a Big Four accounting firm until 1997 when he set up the specialist tax advisory firm of McAvoy & Associates. He has written extensively on tax issues and is a regular speaker at tax conferences in Ireland and abroad.
