UCC hosts 29th World Universities Debating Championships

The countdown is on to the 29th World Universities Debating Championships, which will kick off on December 27th in UCC.

The countdown is on to the 29th World Universities Debating Championships, which will kick off on December 27th in UCC.
Over 1,000 of the worlds top debaters and adjudicators will make Cork their home as the competition to crown the top debaters of the 2008/2009 academic year begins.
Over 750 individual debates will take place between December 28th and January 3rd, when the final winners will be announced after the Grand Final, to be held at the City Hall in Cork.
This is the second time the competition has been hosted in UCC, reaffirming the College's important place in the World debating community.
