The tenth Annual Postgraduate Fair hosted by UCC's Careers Service takes place on Wednesday and Thursday, February 6th and 7th 2008.
The purpose of the exhibition is to inform students of the variety of postgraduate study options on offer at UCC and other Irish institutions, and to give students the opportunity to develop contacts with programme providers for possible future collaboration.
The two-day event sees students in Science, Engineering and Health catered for on Wednesday whilst students in Arts, Business and Law will be the focus on Thursday. "The Postgraduate Exhibition provides students with appropriate information on application procedures, course outline, and career options so as to facilitate more informed decisions on course choice", said Séamus McEvoy, Head of Careers Service at UCC.
The Exhibition will consist of stands from academic and administrative departments within UCC, representing the wide range of further study options available at the College. Other third level institutions that will attend include Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin, Dublin Institute of Technology, Dublin City University, University of Limerick, NUI Galway and NUI Maynooth, Queens University, Belfast, University of Ulster, Waterford Institute of Technology, UCD Smurfit School of Business, Dublin Business School and Griffith College Dublin.
The Exhibition will run on February 6th and 7th from 12.00 noon to 4.00 pm in Devere Hall, Áras na Mac Léinn, UCC.
Anyone interested in pursuing postgraduate study at some stage in the future is encouraged to attend.
