Open Evening for UCC's MBA Programme
26.09.2008

With the continuing turmoil in the financial markets set against the backdrop of competitiveness challenges and greater globalisation, Irish managers are finding that preparing for leadership is becoming more difficult in our complex, modern business life.
In this time of relentless change and economic challenges, UCC is offering an Executive MBA programme to help the individual adapt to these new business realities.

According to MBA Academic Director, Dr Jim Walsh, "Nurturing scarce and expensive leadership capacity in order to match and exceed competitive demands is the constant challenge facing organisations and the providers of leadership education. We see the integration of personal, professional and organisational development as being the key to unlocking a heightened executive dynamic. With that end in mind we have actively re-oriented our programme in that developmental direction".

The Executive MBA draws on the expertise of UCC's Departments of Accounting, Finance & Information Systems, Economics and Management & Marketing and also the Faculty of Law and Departments of Government and Food Business & Development to deliver an intellectually rewarding programme for ambitious, career-minded professionals from a variety of backgrounds.

The UCC Executive MBA is holding an Open Evening on Wednesday next, October 1st at 6.30 pm in the Staff Common Room, North Wing. It will be an opportunity for those interested in the programme to meet with the Academic Director, teaching team and current students. Further information may be obtained from the Programme Office at 021-4902394 or email mba@ucc.ie
