Information Evening for Adult Learners at University College Cork (UCC)

UCC's Centre for Adult Continuing Education (CACE) will hold an Open Information evening on Thursday next, April 10th 2008 from 6.30-9.00pm in Devere Hall, Student Centre, UCC to launch the Centre's Continuing Education and Professional Courses brochure.
The launch by the Lord Mayor of Cork, Councillor Donal Counihan will take place at 7.00pm.  The event is part of the 2008 Lifelong Learning Festival which runs from April 7th-13th.

The Centre for Adult Continuing Education at UCC is a bridge between the resources of the University and the needs of the Community and provides opportunities in life-long learning for all adults irrespective of age and previous educational achievements. More than 40 programmes are on offer, ranging from Certificate to Degree levels, reflective of significant internal and external learning partnerships with many voluntary, statutory and professional bodies.

"UCC has a long and proud tradition of seeking to meet the learning needs of the communities and non-traditional learners both inside and outside the university. The Open Evening is aimed at the lifelong learner who wishes to become familiar with the programmes on offer. This publication provides important information on a wide range of learning opportunities and support services provided by the Centre for all adult learners in 2008/2009" said Dr Tom Mullins, Acting Director, Centre for Adult Continuing Education, UCC.

The Open Evening takes place on Thursday, April 10th, 6.30-9.00pm in Devere Hall, UCC.  Staff from the Centre will be available to advise and answer any questions.
