Cancer will soon be the leading cause of death in the developed world and will double in incidence in Ireland within the next fifteen years. In the next lecture of the Faculty of Science Public Lecture Series at UCC on Wednesday, March 12th, Professor Rosemary O'Connor will talk about the nature and causes of different cancers.
She will also talk about the new kinds of therapies that are becoming available.
