UCC recently hosted the first National Specialist Registrar Advanced Training Symposium in Cardiology addressing the fields of cardiac hemodynamics and adult congenital heart disease.

UCC recently hosted the first National Specialist Registrar Advanced Training Symposium in Cardiology addressing the fields of cardiac hemodynamics and adult congenital heart disease.
Internationally renowned cardiac educators, Dr Rick Nishimura and Dr Carole Warnes from Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, USA provided a unique training experience in a series of didactic lectures, case presentations and interactive sessions. Mayo Clinic is an acknowledged world leader in clinical practice and education in Cardiovascular Medicine.
The symposium was co-sponsored by Pfizer and the Irish Heart Foundation. This symposium is the first in a series that will be held nationally addressing all aspects of cardiovascular disease education for advanced trainees in cardiology.
