UCC Conference Centre is delighted to announce the launch of its online service which will greatly assist conference organisers in the organisation of seminars, events and conferences at UCC.
UCC has seen a steady increase in the use of its conferencing facilities in recent years with 43 confirmed international conferences taking place in 2008. The new system will allow delegates to book conferences and ancillary events online and greatly reduce the workload for organisers. The financial administration and backup for the system is being provided by staff at UCC's Conference Centre as well as a useful step by step guide to running a successful event.
According to Maura O'Neill, Accommodation, Student Activities & Conferencing Officer, "Academic conferences are a vital tool in promoting UCC as a dynamic research facility and provide a shop window for our researchers and postgraduate students. The increase in our international academic conferences in recent years reflects UCC's success in attracting leading researchers and we hope our new service will support our academics in organising future conferences."
