Several Cork physicians, surgeons and scientists will speak at the annual Open Day of the Irish Society of Colitis and Crohn's Disease which takes place tomorrow Saturday, November 1st 2008 from 2-4pm at Cork University Hospital (Main Lecture Theatre).

Several Cork physicians, surgeons and scientists will speak at the annual Open Day of the Irish Society of Colitis and Crohn's Disease which takes place tomorrow Saturday, November 1st 2008 from 2-4pm at Cork University Hospital (Main Lecture Theatre).
Speakers will include Professor Fergus Shanahan, Department of Medicine UCC, Cork University Hospital (CUH) and Alimentary Pharmabiotic Centre (APC), Professor Kevin Cashman, Department of Food and Nutritional Science and APC, UCC , Professor Liam Kirwan, CUH, Professor Michael Maher, CUH, UCC, Mr Morgan McCourt, CUH and Jimmy Dalton, APC.
The Open Day will provide the speakers with the opportunity to inform patients of their research and of latest developments internationally whilst at the same time re-asserting time-honoured facts about inflammatory bowel disease and its optimal management. They will also advise patients about what they can do for themselves to improve their quality of life. All patients and their families are welcome to attend.
