10.03.2008

Ronan Daly Jermyn, one of Ireland's leading law firms recently announced its continued support for University College Cork's UCC+ Plus Programme.
Ronan Daly Jermyn originally commenced its support of the Programme back in 2003 for a five year period and has now agreed it will continue to provide bursaries for a number of students to complete their undergraduate Law studies at UCC for another five years.

The UCC+ Plus Programme (formerly known as the UCC Access Programme) provides support for students from a disadvantaged background to enable them to pursue third level education. Through the Programme the University has devised a means of working with these young people while still in secondary school, so that they are encouraged to progress to third level education. With 320 students currently on the Programme, it is expected to grow significantly over the next number of years.

On a recent visit to UCC, Mr John Dwyer, Managing Partner, Ronan Daly Jermyn, said "we are delighted to be involved for another five year period, continuing to lend our support to this growing and successful university project which assists  in removing the barriers to education by opening up opportunities for students from all backgrounds to legal education."

Mr Cal Healy, Development Manager UCC, expressed the sincerest gratitude of the University and emphasized the need which it has of strengthening its relationships with partners such as Ronan Daly Jermyn Solicitors to enable it deliver on its strategic plans for growth of the UCC+ Plus Programme.
