The Munster Regional Final of Debating Science Issues, (DSI) took place today (Friday, April 18th 2008) in Brookfield Health Sciences Complex, University College Cork.

The Munster Regional Final of Debating Science Issues, (DSI) took place today (Friday, April 18th 2008) in Brookfield Health Sciences Complex, University College Cork.
DSI is a new science debating competition coordinated by research and discovery centres in Ireland, north and south and is open to senior cycle secondary school students. Topics already debated include genetically modified food, health and self testing, nanotechnology, and vaccinations.
The Alimentary Pharmabiotic Centre (APC) coordinated the Munster section of the competition. Presentation Secondary School, Ballingarry Co. Tipperary faced Ballincollig Community School, Co. Cork in the final with the Ballincollig students winning on this occasion by a slim margin.
