UCC's Language Centre (English as a Foreign Language) EFL was recently awarded the prize for the Best Commercial Stand at the Adult Education and Learning Exhibition 2008.

UCC's Language Centre (English as a Foreign Language) EFL was recently awarded the prize for the Best Commercial Stand at the Adult Education and Learning Exhibition 2008.
The Exhibition, organised by Cork Adult Education Council, was held in the City Hall for three evenings earlier this month with over 70 stands on display including several from UCC.
The Language Centre at UCC offers a large number of courses in English as a second language at various levels, ranging from part-time evening courses to full-time day courses, and has self-instructional language learning facilities. New courses start on September 29th and placement testing of new students takes place during the preceding week. The Language Centre also offers teacher-training programmes in the teaching of English as a Foreign Language, as well as a translation/interpreting service. The Language Centre is an Exam Centre for the Cambridge exams and the IELTS exam.
These courses and facilities are open both to UCC students and to those from outside the University. Full details of all these courses are available on the web-site, http://www.ucc.ie/esol, and from the Language Centre in person or by e-mail (info@langcent.ucc.ie)
