Brochure launched for Adult Learners
30.05.2008

UCC's Centre for Adult Continuing Education (CACE) has launched its Adult Education Brochure.  The launch, by Kathleen Lynch, TD took place on May 29th 2008.

The Centre for Adult Continuing Education at UCC is a bridge between the resources of the University and the needs of the community and provides opportunities in life-long learning for all adults irrespective of age and previous educational achievements. More than 40 programmes are on offer, ranging from Certificate to Degree levels, reflective of significant internal and external learning partnerships with many voluntary, statutory and professional bodies.

"It is recognised that Adult Learners expect a different education approach requiring more talk and interaction in the learning context; in the way they bring their life experience to bear on any new field of knowledge they are exploring." said Dr Tom Mullins, Acting Director, Centre for Adult Continuing Education, UCC.
