Note: A native of County Armagh, Pearson was one of the Auxiliaries killed or mortally wounded in perhaps the greatest single disaster suffered by crown forces in Ireland during the war of 1919-21. He had been a member of the ADRIC for almost six months, holding the rank of ‘Defence of Barracks Sergeant’. See Abbott (2000), 162.
