Applications sought for Lectureship/Senior Lectureship in Process & Chemical Engineering

UCC wishes to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Process & Chemical Engineering.  Reporting to the Head of the School of Engineering, the successful candidate will undertake research and teaching in fundamental or applied chemical engineering with particular applications in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical or bioprocessing sectors, or relating to research in sustainability, the environment or energy.

Applicants should have relevant degrees to doctorate level in Chemical Engineering or cognate areas and an appropriate track record of research and publications in areas relevant to Process and Chemical Engineering. They should also have relevant experience and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching. Process industry experience, including research links would be an advantage. In addition to teaching across Process & Chemical Engineering and related areas, the successful candidate will be required to undertake research and generate research funding in key strategically important areas relevant to Process and Chemical Engineering and to the School of Engineering. The successful candidate will also be required to participate in appropriate administrative and/or leadership roles across the discipline, school and university.

 

Appointment will be made on either the Lectureship Salary Scale (€31,821 - €56,967/€62,353 - €76,942) or on the Senior Lectureship Salary Scale (€65,000 – €88,519).
