'Transdisciplinary Perspectives on Transitions to Sustainability' presented to President Michael D. Higgins

Professor Edmond Byrne and fellow book Editors Dr Ger Mullally and Dr Colin Sage were invited to Áras an Uachtaráin on Wednesday 14th December to present a copy of 'Transdisciplinary Perspectives on Transitions to Sustainability' to President Michael D. Higgins.
The volume represents a collaboration involving twelve authors from across UCC plus three international partners, and aligns with core themes of President Higgins’ Presidency. These include the role of the university in addressing interconnected contemporary sustainability challenges around climate change, food and energy and their associated societal and ethical dimensions. A thoroughly engaging discussion took place between the Editors and the President on these issues.
