(Permanent whole-time position)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the above post.

Working under the direction of the Telecoms and Utilities Administrator, UCC; the appointee will be a key member of the Buildings Office staff.  The postholder will have responsibility for Energy and Security related buildings monitoring systems and will assist as necessary with Telecommunications systems.

Candidates must have a recognised electrical qualification at ‘National Craft Certificate’ or equivalent together with the demonstrated ability and experience necessary to carry out the responsibilities of the post. S/he should be commercially aware and have an in-depth knowledge of Energy Usage parameters and relevant Building Systems. A good working knowledge of electrical regulations including the National Rules for Electrical Installations and relevant Health & Safety and environmental legislation is essential, as is a full clean driving license.

Salary: Appointment will be within the following weekly salary scale depending on service experience: 

€717.53-  €760.44 (New Entrants)

In addition, the rate of differential for Foreperson is 15% and there is also a standby allowance payable of €40.85 weekly
