Maria Cristina Fumagalli, Professor of Literature, Film and Theatre Studies at the University of Essex, is a specialist in literatures and visual cultures of the Caribbean. Dr Bridget Wooding is the head of the Caribbean Migration and Development Observatory in Santo Domingo. Together they work on cross-border initiatives regarding culture and migration between Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
