Laura Maye is a postdoctoral researcher in Human-Computer Interaction, interested in how people and communities utilise, adopt and shape interactive technology in context. She has over five years’ experience applying qualitative research methodologies, including ethnography, co-design, and action research. She has extensive experience collaborating with communities, particularly in cultural heritage and healthcare contexts. Currently, she is working on the Grassroots Radio project at UCC. This project has the goal of supporting isolated and rural communities in participating in media pluralism through setting up and sustaining low-barrier means to community radio.
