National Cancer Registry Ireland - Project Coordinator / Study Interviewer

 Project Coordinator (specified purpose contract)

 We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual to undertake a project investigating employment outcomes among cancer patients in Ireland. 

 The successful candidate must hold a primary or higher degree in a relevant subject (e.g. health or social sciences, epidemiology, health services research,     health economics, etc). S/he must have at least 2 years experience in project management of health-related research projects and experience of developing      and implementing research study procedures. Excellent communication and  interpersonal skills are essential. Database experience and well-developed data analysis skills are also required.

This is a specified purpose contract with an estimated duration of 3 years. The  post is based in Cork but the appointee will be expected to spend several months at a collaborating university in the USA.  Starting salary will be in accordance with Department of Health and Children grade V: €41,618 - €50,358 per annum.

                          Study Interviewer (one year fixed-term contract)

 Applications are invited for the position of study interviewer to work on an all-Ireland project on pancreatic cancer. The post-holder will take responsibility for subject recruitment in the south of the country.

The successful appointee must have a third level qualification in healthcare or an allied discipline, or be educated to degree level in health sciences, social   sciences or a related discipline. S/he must have worked within the health services and have experience in recruiting people to take part in research studies. Experience of Microsoft Word and database software is essential.  S/he must also have experience of phlebotomy, excellent communication and  interpersonal skills, and a full driving licence and own transport.

This is a one year fixed-term contract, available immediately. The post will be based in Cork, but will involve travel from the base location. Starting salary will be in accordance with Department of Health and Children grade V: €41,618- €50,358 per annum.
