Academic Health Science System
Chief Academic Officer National Group In-person Meeting in September
Following a very successful meeting of the Chief Academic Officers in the offices of Childrens Health Ireland, where plans for the inclusion of an Academic Health Sciences System within the new Health Regions were further developed, the CAOs and their support teams, hosted by Eilish Hardiman, CEO CHI, and Professor Owen Smith, CAO CHI, visited the new Childrens Hospital.
Among its many impressive features were the Teaching & Education spaces, which will include a library overlooking the atrium with breakout spaces for students and staff, two lecture halls, highly impressive simulation operating theatres, and a large open space for educational administration across the associated universities that will operate on-site.
