Steiner/Waldorf education is a global movement, the first Irish Steiner/Waldorf school was founded in 1987. Waldorf education sees artistic activity and the development of the imagination as integral to learning. Waldorf teacher training programmes tend to put a strong emphasis on performative approaches to teaching and learning. For general information on Waldorf education see http://www.waldorf-international.org/en/
