Interprofessional Learning Workshop focused on the Management of Dental Conditions and Safe Prescribing
This semester 70 third year Pharmacy students and 55 fourth year Dentistry students participated in this workshop.
The students worked collaboratively on a number of patient cases learning from and with each other about antimicrobial prescribing and stewardship, analgesia, oral healthcare and the important pharmacological principles of managing these conditions. These workshops have been taking place annually since 2019.
The workshops were facilitated by Dr Ă“rla Barry, Dept. of Pharmacology, Dr Brian Ryle, Cork Dental School and Hospital and Dr Aoife Fleming, School of Pharmacy and Vice Head for Interprofessional Learning.
