Winner of the SEFS Outstanding Lecturer Award 2013
At a recent ceremony in the College of Science, Engineering & Food Science (SEFS) Dr Ed Byrne, Chair of SEFS Teaching and Learning and Student Experience Committee, on behalf of Prof Patrick Fitzpatrick, Head of College presented certificates to the overall winner and the shortlisted candidates for the College of SEFS Outstanding Lecturer Awards 2013.
He congratulated them on their great achievement and stated that the objective of this initiative was to recognize excellence in teaching through the most important stakeholders in the teaching and learning process, our students. The 2012/13 award winner was Dr Olive McCarthy, Department of Food Business and Development. The runners up were Dr Eileen O'Leary, Department of Chemistry/School of Pharmacy and Carmel Shortiss, Department of Microbiology.
