Midsummer Meet UP 2020 Hosted by UCC YT

UCC Youth Theatre is delighted to host Midsummer Meet UP 2020 with the Cork Midsummer Festival. Memebers from 5 local Youth Theatre will meet to share skills, make friends and leanring about theatre. Workshops facilitated by Maxine Acton-Carey, Julie O'Leary, Barry Whelan and Fionn Woodhouse. 

Outline of events as follows: 

Weds 17th

17:00 - Meet UP kicks off with a Theatre Skills workshop introducing participants to each other

18:00 - DINNER TIME - participants are asked to join us in one of our online breakout rooms to eat and chat with YT members and leaders. 

18:30 - Young Critics workshop introducing ways of thinking about theatre and how we watch it. 

19:30 - Social Time and Wrap up for the night including exclusive access to an online performance of ‘One Day’ by Richard Walsh as part of Cork Midsummer Festival

Thurs 18th 

17:00 - Day two kicks off with Workshop on Performance Response

18:00 - DINNER TIME - participants are asked to join us in one of our online breakout rooms to eat and chat with YT members and leaders.

18:30 - Workshop discussion with guest Richard Walsh, creator of ‘One Day’. 

19:30 - Social Time and Wrap up for Midsummer Meet UP 2020

The event will take place Online - ideally participants have access to a quiet room, a laptop/tablet (phone also works!), a stable internet connection, and a pen and paper!
