UCC wishes to appoint a Trainee Technician to The Granary Theatre. Reporting to the Technical Officer, the Trainee Technician will play an important supporting role in ensuring the delivery of the Department of Theatre’s core teaching and learning functions. They will provide technical support to theatre activities in the Granary, to off-site activities when appropriate (such as outdoors or in civic space), and in the Department of Theatre and its spaces as a whole, for all students and staff, including, where practicable, by use of the student societies. Again, working under the direction of the Technical Officer, the Trainee Technician will provide technical support to student rehearsals and performances, to the MA student festivals, to staff practical research processes, and to other events, and, of course, to laboratory theatre work.
