“A Day on the Essay Film: Visual Erosions, Sprouting Words". Foundation Perdu, Amsterdam, Dec 2nd 2018

Prof. Laura Rascaroli will participate in Visual Erosions, Sprouting Words, a day on the essay film that will be held in Amsterdam on 2 December.

Organised by artists/writers Victorine van Alphen and Jorik Amit Galama, in collaboration with Perdu, a literary foundation specialised in poetry and the crossovers between literature and other art forms, the day will trace some of the literary roots the essay film, and ask where language becomes poetry, and image turns into film. The day includes screenings and the participation of artists and scholars. Laura Rascaroli will present her recent work towards a theory of poetic counter-narrative in film.
