Dr. Harriet Schellekens awarded J.A. Bain Young Scientist Travel Award
Dr. Harriet Schellekens (Researcher in Professor Cryan’s Lab) has been awarded a James A. Bain Young Scientist Travel Award to attend the 17th World Congress of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology (WCP 2014) in Cape Town, South Africa.
She has received this major travel award worth $4000 from the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET) for her abstract entitled: 'Dimerization of G-protein coupled Receptors (GPCRs) in Appetite Regulation and Food Reward'.
ASPET presents several major awards on either an annual or a biennial basis. These awards are given to recognize accomplishments either in specific areas of pharmacology or contributions to and accomplishments in the discipline in general.
