Code of Conduct

The organisers are committed to providing a conference that is safe and professional for everyone involved, regardless of race, gender identity, sex, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, nationality, ethnicity, immigration status, age, or religion.

Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes sustained disruption of talks/presentations, inappropriate physical contact, sexual attention or innuendo, deliberate intimidation, stalking, and photography or recording of an individual without consent. It also includes offensive comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race or religion, or any other exclusionary comments or jokes.

These rules apply to talks, individual interactions taking place in the conference setting, slack conversations, and social gatherings.

The organisers retain the right to take any actions deemed necessary to maintain a safe and inclusive environment. This includes warning offenders that their actions are inappropriate, or expelling participants without refund. Warnings will generally be provided before expulsion, but egregious and/or repeated offenders may be expelled without warning at the discretion of the organisers.

To report a violation, please contact one of the conference chairs, John Regan (john.regan@mu.ie) and Michael Tremmel (mtremmel@ucc.ie). You may do so by email, slack DM, or in-person. You may also submit an anonymous report here (https://forms.gle/i7vACgHXQPUrDoyU7) which will be read by the conference chairs.
